The National Arts Council is inviting applications for a bursary for the South African applicants.  NAC invites postgraduate students and registered education and training institutions for undergraduate students who will be studying in South Africa during 2017.

This invitation also extends to students applying for Bachelor of Technology degree in the arts. Particular attention will be paid to postgraduate qualifications that address rare skills required in the arts sector.

The Visual Arts Network of South Africa (VANSA) was initiated by leading figures in the visual arts sector from across South Africa in 2003.

Course Level: Applications invited are for individual postgraduate studies and block institution bursaries for undergraduate students who will be studying in South Africa.

Study Subject: Bursaries are awarded in the fields of theatre, dance, crafts, literature, multidiscipline, music and visual arts.

Scholarship Award: The maximum amount for project funding is R250 000.00.

Scholarship can be taken in South Africa

Eligibility: The following criteria must be met in order for applicants to be eligible for this bursary:

  • Applications invited are for individual postgraduate studies and block institution bursaries for undergraduate students who will be studying in South Africa.

Nationality: South African applicants are eligible for this bursary.
